The Hemingway Room
Throughout the years many prominent characters have graced our doors. But none so illustrious as the world-renowned novelist and Pulitzer prize winner, Ernest Hemingway. In the 1920’s, Ernest and his wife Hadley stayed at The Clarion while he worked as a foreign correspondent for the legendary Toronto newspaper, The Toronto Star.
Rumor had it that between writing for The Toronto Star he was also working on his first great novel, A Farewell to Arms.
Now, are we claiming that staying in this room will bring out your muse and you’ll write the greatest novel of our times?
No.
But relaxing in our soothing, luxuriant baths, slipping into our heavenly king sized beds and waking up refreshed and alive is inspiration in itself!
